Gerald Armstrong and Dervelle Harris, owners of Lamar Edward Exclusive Salon are visionary stylists that embody the artistic trademark of a pointed eyes and skillful hands. Like most artists Gerald & Dervelle have used their experience as veteran celebrity hairstylists of legendary stars like Jessica White, Patti Labelle, Lil Kim, Stevie Wonder, Kwesi Mfume, Destiny’s Child and Mariah Carey to inspire their muse’, the everyday client. Their talents and experience have provided them the passport to redefine images and set trends that stretch as far as the Parisian boulevards, down the red carpets of the entertainment industry, to the steps of the White House & races of the Kentucky Derby. Trendsetting however, is not the mission of these artists.

The Lamar Edward Exclusive Salons mission is to solidify a new era in the completeness of a woman by providing convenience without fluff, and style minus the artificial ingredients that only remain temporarily on the surface of beauty. In addition to servicing their clientele, Gerald and Dervelle find it essential to their success to consistently give back to their community, taking time to volunteer at various women outreach programs such as the Great Mount Cavalry Church “Alternative to Drugs and Alcohol” program. “It is pertinent that we ignite a sense of beauty to women who might otherwise feel that beauty is the last thing they have to offer, Gerald expressed.”
